The Lazy December Post

This will be my last post for this year, 2013. This won't be the mushy mushy year-end post that I used to make to recount all my blessings and thank all those who has been there. Although I am very much grateful and blessed, I, too, am very lazy to blog. So my finale blog entry will be all about the events / parties I have attended this December.

Behold! The laziest post ever... yet.

Vintage Barbie

Hi guys! Around this season of last year that I started calling, organizing and preparing for my mini me, Winter's 1st birthday. And now, I am starting to prepare for her 2nd birthday next month!

After much deliberation, I decided that the theme for her birthday would be (of course, it's in the title)....

planners and starbucks

I am admittedly very fond of doodling my thoughts, my schedule etc in a journal. I guess it started when back in high school, we were required to submit a weekly journal of our everyday activities in our English class. After that, I lied-low on the journal thing but went back to jotting down everything when I entered college in DLSU. I don't know if it's the same with other schools but because we live in the tri-sem world, everything is just so fast-paced. We can eat lunch while walking, while waiting in line at the elevator at Andrew Bldg, while in class (discreetly), and any other situation. We are always in a hurry, constantly chasing time, running from one building to another to make it in time for the next class within the 10 minute break via the heavily-populated elevators. God! And the worst of it all is papers, reports and projects are due "next meeting" which actually means... you have 1 day to do it -along with all the papers, reports, projects the other 4 subjects you had that day.

Oh no! You didn't!

Oh yes, I did.

My emotional what not has been very obvious based on my last few blogs. I even forgot to blog about my own birthday just because I was way too low on energy & enthusiasm about life. Choz. But last Friday, I was informed that the project I was removed from was well, let's just say I'm back on that team again! Yey! The past week has been such a blessing! Of course more than the big project, there were other small miracles that happened.

The next day, after work, we celebrated Seph's birthday at Tides. There was me, Rob & Eda. He only has three friends. Haha! I'm kidding. Anyway, I don't know why we finished at 3am but we're not THAT intoxicated. When we got to our home, they slept right up. Not sure if it's alcohol or slipping pills they put in our drinks. Eda of course wasn't at all sleepy cause she just woke up before heading to Tides (that's also why she's late). I did sleep too and woke up to find both of my friends gone. kthanksbye.

The Big Switch & things in between.

Hi.
I've been so busy with my transition to another project. Although it wasn't the BIG project I was expecting, I am quite happy with the new one. You see I didn't get the BIG one cause I am stupid. That's just it. I cannot emphasize enough my regret. But I read somewhere that I am exactly where God intended me to be. I guess this is just a bump in the road. God has great plans!!!

What's Inside My Bag

I thought I had frozen shoulder just because my shoulder is so painful but turns out it is all because I have a really heavy bag. O_o

Partying on a Saturday! ☺

During my rest days, I make sure I become the supermom my kids need. I cook for them, play with them, watch movies with them and use the phone and ipad as little as possible (except when we play the ipad together).

For this *long* weekend, we did a lot of movie watching. Monsters Inc., Lady & the Tramp, The Little Mermaid 2 and Nanny McPhee. I was surprised that Jieshua did like Nanny McPhee, which Rob & I connivingly chose because it teaches a lot of good manners. I can almost here Nanny McPhee's voice saying "Lesson Three, Sharing.. is complete." while I type..

My Life, Among Other Things, is Steadily Happy.

I have always looked forward to rest days especially now that I have 2 days to spend with my family. I actually didn't notice the week has passed already and that my rest days were already coming up. So I was imagining myself to be sleeping all afternoon at home and bonding with my little ones but this is how I really spent my rest days...

How to prettify your iphone / ipad

Hello everyone!

Today, I am going to teach you how to prettify your iphone / ipad / itouch without jailbreaking it.

We can do it using an app called COCOPPA. You can change your icons, wallpaper and the best part is that it is FREE!

Can you just imagine personalizing it to your desired eye candy colors/ theme?
My Ipad mini is absolutely pink because of Cocoppa.
I suggest you keep a theme or color in mind of all the icons you will be having.
Just like I did. Isn't pink very obvious here?
*Though Snapeee is a bit off because this is the original icon of the app.

Primping with the Stars

It is so hard being a girl. Men can be ready in just 10 minutes or less but women? No. We need at least like 30 minutes to look presentable. As for me, I am not really a woman that takes too much time to get ready. Because I am always late, after dressing up, I can head out and I do my make up on the way to wherever I'm supposed to go. Now, what I found was quite a buy! It's so easy and handy especially for those like me who tries hard not to poke our own eye while applying mascara while on the road.

I present to you.....

TADAH!!!

just grateful

I feel really happy right now.

I feel like my heart is going to pop out of my chest.

There have been nights when I worry too much and I cannot sleep. It's hard to be independent when you feel like you're still unsure whether you could really handle it on your own. I had a lot of hesitations before I moved out (including my kids). Just imagine the burden I had. But I had to tell myself that the first step is always the hardest. And indeed it was, all my money went into all the things I had to buy for the new home. But God really does provide. And I'm not saying that it was always good. There were times when I didn't know how to get by but we did.

Now, I am very happy because I have more than enough to provide for my family and to give out something to others as well. Thank You, Lord for giving me more than I deserve.

It really feels good to be able to buy and pay for the things you need and want but it didn't come from other people, it came from your own hardworking ass.

And of course, I got it in a decent, legal and dignified way.

Good night and cheers to the good life ahead!

happy 100th ♥

Better late than never.

Happy 100th to me and Robinson Quiblat.

I never imagined that I would be this lucky to be with someone who makes me feel day and night that I am loved, someone who strives hard to make it work this time, someone who works hard to be successful so that he could give me the best of everything, someone who wakes up everyday thanking God that I am with him, someone who's not afraid show his real feelings - good or bad.

I try my best to be that person to you too.

I love you day in and day out.

Always and Forever.

Rob & Jhay.

Election 2013

Today, the Philippines casted their votes and would place certain people in a position that would change their lives.

I am deeply saddened by the results, though it is still partial and unofficial.

Those who are leading are those who were either part of a family dynasty or just plain mockery to the country. We don't need successors. There may be chances for them to be as brilliant as their parents or relatives but really? Some of them haven't proven anything at all. Now, the others just gained popularity just because the internet bullied them and made a joke out of them... And it worked to their advantage.

How I wish that the results would not be all that bad.

Let's give these people the benefit of the doubt.

Let's hope and pray that once they're elected, they would prove their worth.

God bless the Philippines!

BIG CHANGE part 2

Since I'm now your Solstice girl, there have been a lot of changes that took place.

BIG change

I don't know if I've made a lot of mention of my beloved project in Bonifacio Global City, Maridien, but this post is all about me and change.

I started last July 2012 as a Site Manager for Alveo's High Street South Two Maridien, which also launched during that time. For nine months, Maridien & I had a pretty smooth relationship. I was really happy.

But nothing is constant but change.

Maridien is 95% sold already.

24 units left.

In.. just.. nine... months!

I'm pretty proud and happy with the take up of my beloved Two Maridien. It means that it is an amazing project and that I pretty much did what I was supposed to do. But it also means that Maridien and I have to part ways and open new doors. Huhuhuhu.

The next tower won't be Maridien anymore, and I won't be the one handling that anymore.

Instead, I am going to be immersing myself in a whole new world of possibilities in Circuit Makati.

Circuit Makati is the newest deveopment of Ayala in the former Sta Ana racetrack, although it is known as "Sta. Ana", it is technically still within the perimeter of Makati.

To be honest, High Street South and Circuit's concept isn't far from each other.

Circuit will become the next BGC.

And in the next few years, we'll all be checking in at "Circuit" while having coffee, or strolling at the Ayala mall, or sleeping at the Ayala Hotel there, or even watching a play by Claude-Michel Schonberg.

This is challenging.

This is change.

And I'll embrace it.

Goals Attained

It's been a month since I last blogged... (always my intro. haha)

There were lots of times when I was thinking of blogging but kept shrugging the thought away just cause work has been taking too much of my time and a lot of other things happened in between. I'm not complaining, though.

I'm so grateful that I was able to make the dreams in my GOAL BOARD a REALITY within just 4 months of the year. It was a whole year goal for me and good for me that I attained it already! It means MORE GOALS to achieve!

First, I'll show you the GOAL BOARD I presented to my team mates last September.

Ollo Clip Lens for Iphone 5

Let's now take a break from working too damn hard (and playing Candy Crush Saga), and I will tell you about my new little accessory for my Iphone.

Have you ever heard of Ollo? Ollo Clip for iphone?

Me? I've never heard about it until a friend called me from Singapore and asked me if I wanted an ollo clip for my iphone. What I heard was "rolyow" haha. So I resorted to google and ended up looking at rollei for iphone. Haha. Sorry, my bad. I'm kind of deaf sometimes.

Anyway, I told him sure. Who wouldn't want a fisheye, wide angle and macro lens, right?

When he finally gave it to me, my instagram life changed. Chos!

It was very .. small.

A for Apple

I've never really been into ipods. When they first came out, i wasn't at all interested with them. Iphone is a different story though. I found myself dreaming of having it and yet wasn't able to because of it's unreasonable price... God! They're so damn expensive..

But since I have been working my ass off for months already and since I have been able to give my dear little princess her first birthday party, I present to you my reward for myself...

Thank God! I've written in my goalboard last September that I wanted to have an iphone5 by 2013. I never thought that I would be able to achieve that in the first quarter of the year!! Wow! Mindsetting is so powerful!!! And if you are still not convinced by the power of mindsetting, in a few weeks time, i would receive my ipad mini as an incentive for hitting my 120m target. Ipad mini was also included in my goalboard but it was for the recent January 2013 goalboard that I made. I'm so grateful, blessed and happy!!

Thank You, Lord. You have brought me where I am. ❤

So are you ready to make your own goal board?

Alveo Sales Kickoff & Phoenix Team Building

ALVEO SALES KICKOFF
Club Balai Isabel
January 23-24, 2013

I have always felt that I am so lucky to be part of the Ayala Company. I have grown so much since I've been with the company. On our Sales Kickoff, we discussed all the exciting new projects that we will launch this year. I'm very, very excited as they are all so promising. Of course, I would want to launch the 3rd tower of High Street South but oh well, may the odds be in my favor. Haha. Anyway, the kickoff was fun because it was a field trip "company style". hahaha. We were kidding each other at the bus and sleeping most of the time.

Roxy Jielaena Winter's first birthday and baptism

This post is really long overdue since I have been so busy with so many things. I have been busy with working and bonding with my lovies that blogging has been least of my priority.

But I will make this blog entry because almost all the planning I did, I did using the internet.

It's time to pay it forward, I guess.

All the blogs, forums, comments, replies I've read in the internet was very helpful for me in achieving the party I wanted for my dearest baby girl. So, thank you everyone. You were really, really helpful.

And so it begins...
