Old Home. New Home.

We have finally moved to our new home. We have been planning to do it since last year but only got to execute it this year. And I'm really having mixed emotions about it.

Let me first tell you about our old home.

April 2013, we decided that it is time to have our own little home. We found a place which really fits our taste for raising our kids. It's tucked in Mandaluyong, just very near Makati. Easily accessible to transportation and Mandaluyong is basically at the middle of the Metro. The house is at the second floor of a five-storey building. We were the first one to move there since the building is new. The unit is a one-bedroom, with miniature kitchen, living and bathroom. Jielaena was still a wee little baby back then and Jieshua was just around five when we moved there. It's wasn't much, but it was home.

Fast forward to almost two years after, we have to leave the house because we got ourselves a little home of our home. The kids are growing up and the monthly rent just doesn't fit the budget anymore. As we left our old home, it's hard not to be emotional. Our kids basically grew up there. We built our dreams and achieved some of them. We had our kids running around our little house, tickling session, birthday house parties and all that. I would definitely miss living in our first home but when one door closes, another one opens.

This year, 2015, we moved to our new house in Mandaluyong also. Just a five minute walk from our old home. Here, we will build new dreams, achieve greater things, create great memories and raise happy kids.

Birthday Bash 2014

Birthdays are so much fun because on that day, I don't only commemorate the day I was born but also, people tend to give me gifts. Haha! 😄

My birthday was kicked off by Rob making me feel bad that they forgot to greet me even if it's already past 12! They were busy with their own thing and I was there silently stopping myself from bursting into a fit! Haha! But, when we were about to go lights off, they surprised me with these! Oh! This was all a plan! ☺ I got a letter from my dear Jieshua! I love being a mom! Rob gave me a Pandora necklace with a card that tells exactly what our relationship is like.. I was in tears for more or less 10 minutes.. I was literally crying.. I was so touched!

Hi guys! Around this season of last year that I started calling, organizing and preparing for my mini me, Winter's 1st birthday. And now, I am starting to prepare for her 2nd birthday next month!

After much deliberation, I decided that the theme for her birthday would be (of course, it's in the title)....

During my rest days, I make sure I become the supermom my kids need. I cook for them, play with them, watch movies with them and use the phone and ipad as little as possible (except when we play the ipad together).

For this *long* weekend, we did a lot of movie watching. Monsters Inc., Lady & the Tramp, The Little Mermaid 2 and Nanny McPhee. I was surprised that Jieshua did like Nanny McPhee, which Rob & I connivingly chose because it teaches a lot of good manners. I can almost here Nanny McPhee's voice saying "Lesson Three, Sharing.. is complete." while I type.. 

My Life, Among Other Things, is Steadily Happy.

I have always looked forward to rest days especially now that I have 2 days to spend with my family. I actually didn't notice the week has passed already and that my rest days were already coming up. So I was imagining myself to be sleeping all afternoon at home and bonding with my little ones but this is how I really spent my rest days...

I feel really happy right now.

I feel like my heart is going to pop out of my chest.

There have been nights when I worry too much and I cannot sleep. It's hard to be independent when you feel like you're still unsure whether you could really handle it on your own. I had a lot of hesitations before I moved out (including my kids). Just imagine the burden I had. But I had to tell myself that the first step is always the hardest. And indeed it was, all my money went into all the things I had to buy for the new home. But God really does provide. And I'm not saying that it was always good. There were times when I didn't know how to get by but we did.

Now, I am very happy because I have more than enough to provide for my family and to give out something to others as well. Thank You, Lord for giving me more than I deserve.

It really feels good to be able to buy and pay for the things you need and want but it didn't come from other people, it came from your own hardworking ass. 

And of course, I got it in a decent, legal and dignified way.

I never imagined that I would be this lucky to be with someone who makes me feel day and night that I am loved, someone who strives hard to make it work this time, someone who works hard to be successful so that he could give me the best of everything, someone who wakes up everyday thanking God that I am with him, someone who's not afraid show his real feelings - good or bad. 

I try my best to be that person to you too.

This post is really long overdue since I have been so busy with so many things. I have been busy with working and bonding with my lovies that blogging has been least of my priority.

But I will make this blog entry because almost all the planning I did, I did using the internet.

It's time to pay it forward, I guess.

All the blogs, forums, comments, replies I've read in the internet was very helpful for me in achieving the party I wanted for my dearest baby girl. So, thank you everyone. You were really, really helpful.

you're officially a girl!!!

Usually, parents have their baby girl immediately after they are born.

I don't exactly know when I had my ears got pierced. 

My parents told me that it was when I was still a baby but I seriously have a hazy memory of me being excessively wild while people around are trying to do something with my ears. 

I have such a weird brain.

For my baby Winter though, her pediatrician/my tita Mel told me to wait until she's a few months old to prevent the hole from widening over time. 

Cause babies have really soft skin and tissues, right?

So.

The glorious, glorious day for the right of passage came. 

I decided that it was time for her to officially become a girl!

First day of September, I asked my mom to bring her to the pediatrician for her immunization and ear piercing.

 I was never into online shopping.. The first and probably last thing I bought from the internet is a pair of hazel brown contact lenses from some multiply shop. I don't even remember when that was.. I never really liked wearing contact lenses.. I think I just look good with hazel brown eyes... lololololol. Tiis GANDA!!!

Anyway, my story is my first try at buying in ensogo. Ensogo is a social commerce site that offers deals on products, food, hotel accommodations and many more!! There are a lot of websites like this but why ensogo??

seven is lucky, right?

I somehow felt obliged to write a blog right now just cause it is the 7th day of August and the seventh month day of Winter. Though my shoulders really hurt, I wouldn't want to miss this eventful day.

I planned on really having cupcakes and cakes for today cause I thought that it's lucky for her to celebrate her seventh month since she was born on the 7th day of January and 7 is a lucky number. Get it? Okay, now my mind is just full of the number 7 so I'm gonna stop. lol.

But.. it has been raining like mad for the last couple of days and since last night, the panic has been raised. Floods here and everywhere and the rain just wouldn't stop. So instead of buying a whole bunch of cupcakes by Sonja and a cake from Red Ribbon, we settled for.. whattatops! hahaha.
