Christmas Rush / How to Shop with Ease in Manila

I know that I speak for everyone when I say that the few weeks before Christmas is the most exhausting days of our lives!

We shop for christmas presents, endure traffic jams everywhere, long lines in cashiers, even arrogant and abusive cab drivers and endless Christmas parties... -_-

The best places to shop are:
1. Divisoria
2. Greenhills
3. Malls
4. Marks & Spencer
5. Body Shop

Here are some tips on how to shop with ease:

1. Go to the malls, shops, Divisoria early. By early, I mean don't wait until the last few days before Christmas (pointless: It's just 5 days away til Christmas) and go early in the morning. For Divisoria, go there as early as 8am, for malls 10am. This saves you from the hassle of being bumped by people and long lines in cashiers.

2. Bring a reusable bag where you can put all the things you shopped for. It is very difficult to carry 10 plastic bags, all the more when one of those plastic bags snaps! Boo hoo.

3. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, in which you can move with ease and worry-less even if you are carrying a lot already. Isn't it annoying to be carrying a lot of plastic bags and would have to pull your skirt down? Not a very pleasant sight, is it?

4. Learn how to HAGGLE! If going to Greenhills or Divisoria, buy in bulks to get discounts! By haggling, you can buy more items for more people.

5. If possible, don't bring any valuable items (iphone) or wear jewelries. This is not only the season of giving but also the season of stealing for some people. They take advantage of the huge traffic of people to steal away things. If possible, just bring your money when shopping.

I've already finished wrapping the presents I bought and are already under my mini christmas tree! Yey!

I'll post about our holiday events when I have time this week. ☺

Super excited!
