Roxy Jielaena Winter's first birthday and baptism

This post is really long overdue since I have been so busy with so many things. I have been busy with working and bonding with my lovies that blogging has been least of my priority.

But I will make this blog entry because almost all the planning I did, I did using the internet.

It's time to pay it forward, I guess.

All the blogs, forums, comments, replies I've read in the internet was very helpful for me in achieving the party I wanted for my dearest baby girl. So, thank you everyone. You were really, really helpful.

And so it begins...

My baby girl's exact birthday is on the 7th day of January, which falls on a Monday, that's why I had to set the party a day earlier, January 6 (Sunday), so that a lot of the people we invited could come.

We initially planned on having the baptism on EDSA Shrine but unfortunately, they wouldn't resume with the baptismal rites until the 13th of January. So, we ended up finding another parish around Ortigas area and we ended up in St. Francis of Assisi Church. This is the church in Lourdes School of Mandaluyong.

During the big day, we arrived a bit early and a mass was still going on.I liked the church because it looked and felt very Catholic. The lighting, the ambience, the mood is very calming. We had a 45minute-seminar and then proceeded with the rites.

I have been planning this party since November and I have been rummaging the internet for the best but budget-friendly venue even before that. I have searched every bit of the internet and one name surfaced, Prestige Tower Roofdeck. What I read on the internet is true. It's so easy to talk to them. I called them like more than 30 times since November for the pencil-booking, actual reservation, choosing of date, moving of date etc.etc. They were so accomodating. They knew me already because of the number of times I've called them.

But the best part about it is the value for your money. When you reach 15,000php worth of catering, venue is free! And you get to use the venue for 4 hours! And the venue is perfectly perfect! Haha. I must say that the service is excellent, food is delicious, and venue is so nice!

I liked that they had a package in which I was able to make use of a bubble machine, projector and widescreen and of course the photobooth. I had the background custom made but they offer free standard backdrop or have yours designed by them for a minimal fee. We weren't able to fully maximize the unlimited photobooth, though because the guests were so busy with the games.
