It was a long 5 hour drive to Bataan, but it was well worth it. I missed the beach and the sand, and the oh so lovely greeneries! Camaya Coast offers luxurious comfort in their well-maintained facility. I love it here!!!

Uber | Everyone's Private Driver

Who here are sick of these when riding a cab on the way home:

• Difficulty getting one (hello tired legs)
• Smelly cabs (oh gosh! My nose!)
• Cab drivers who are rude 
• Hold-up gang (Scaryyy!!)
• Cab drivers who ask for contractual servicing, extremely expensive and unreasonable!
• Paying extra just because the driver has no "change"

I know I am! x_x

Birthday Bash 2014

Birthdays are so much fun because on that day, I don't only commemorate the day I was born but also, people tend to give me gifts. Haha! 😄

My birthday was kicked off by Rob making me feel bad that they forgot to greet me even if it's already past 12! They were busy with their own thing and I was there silently stopping myself from bursting into a fit! Haha! But, when we were about to go lights off, they surprised me with these! Oh! This was all a plan! ☺ I got a letter from my dear Jieshua! I love being a mom! Rob gave me a Pandora necklace with a card that tells exactly what our relationship is like.. I was in tears for more or less 10 minutes.. I was literally crying.. I was so touched!

Rakenrol | Alveo Mid-Year Awarding

HOLLA!!!

Time went by so fast and we didn't even notice that we are on the homestretch of the year.
This is also the season for our Mid-Year Awarding in Alveo. And this Mid-Year is not the same as the previous awarding ceremonies that we had. Aside from changing the theme from Woodstock (for 2 years) to Rakenrol (Rock & Roll), what's extra special about this year is that I would be one of the awardees! Isn't it great??? :)

I found out that I was the one to be awarded as the "Top Site Manager" through a text of the schedule of photoshoot, the ones to be flashed onstage during the event. I was ecstatic! I wasn't expecting it at all! I've been with Alveo for 2 years and there were really difficult times... Just so glad that our hard work paid off!

So, in light of the RAKENROL Theme, here's with I wore to the event:

FREE Italianni's breakfast

That's what Rob and I had in mind. But apparently, we are gluttonous pigs and always end up eating like a King for every. single. meal. Cray!! 

On this note, we have purchased the Bistro Prestige Card so that we can avail discounts for One Year. Upon purchasing, we were given this complimentary Breakfast for Two worth 600. 

It is until today (which for some reason we thought is the last day for the coupon) that we availed this FREE breakfast. 

We woke up extra early so that we may still make it to our work on time.

Major Update

Update! Update! Update! 

Hello world! 

I want to apologize to myself for being too busy to update this blog. *sad face* One of my goals this 2014 (and I specifically wrote it on my goal board) is to be able to actively blog AT LEAST twice a month.. And here we are, so lucky if I could post a single one for a month. 

And so I would update all of you (or myself when I look back and read this 5 years from now) about the things that happened the past few months.

Boracay 2014 | Day 01

This is a rather long overdue post. And I am not gonna put off posting about it anymore.

DAY 01
Left Manila at around 4am en route Kalibo going to Caticlan. Plane actually left a few minutes ahead of schedule. This is my first time to fly! So, please forgive me. Hoho! The feeling is just so great! Except maybe when I have to stay inside the plane for more than a few hours, then I would not think of it as great. Anyway, from Kalibo, we had to take the van going to Caticlan and slept on the way. We reached Boracay at around 9am. So we ate breakfast, took pictures, dipped a little in the water. I slept under the sun until around 12nn and when the heat is really unbearable, we decided to go back to our hotel.

In Deed

God is very powerful.

I've seen Him work in a lot of people. Some of them are really far from being close to God and yet in a great twist of events, they knew God. 

I found a deeper relationship with God sometime late last year. And from then on, I had an on and off relationship with Him. That is the thing I want to change- losing time for church for worldly commitments. 

Aside from that, I find it still find it hard to "love" and forgive people who have offended, hurt, insulted me in any way even with the knowledge that all of God's commandments comes down to "Love". Love one another. Love even the unloveable, difficult to love, offenders, and bad people. 

The Lord has manifested his great love for me for so many times and I feel guilty whenever I miss become too busy (or lazy). 

I'm praying for a stronger relationship with God. I want my family and kids to grow in a God-driven environment. 

I am claiming it!

They say life kicks you so that you'll learn and be a better person. But what if life kicks you hard, repeatedly, and in the ass?... Will you learn the lesson?

Miss Alveo 2014

Two months. 

That's how much late I am going to post this event. 

If you are following me in facebook, you probably know that in January, I was in the Miss Alveo pageant.

The Long Hiatus

Sorry for the long hiatus. 

I wished I just hibernated for all those times I was absent. But I did not. I actually was very, very busy with so many things. 

Work has been consuming a lot of my energy. January was jam-packed with activities, changes, challenges and yes, that Miss Alveo thing that I am gonna blog about in an entirely separate post. 

On the onset of February, just when I was adjusting to the reshuffling of projects for work, my paternal grandfather passed away. That was February 7, just 8 days before his 97th birthday. It was really heartbreaking for all of us. I spent my childhood in his home and I felt kinda guilty that I wasn't able to pay him more visit just before he passed on. I miss him dearly. :( he was 96 when he died and yet it felt as though we were not ready for it. He was the number 1 inventor in my life! I miss you Angkong! 😞 Jieshua and Jielaena misses their Taikong! 😞

We would like to extend our gratitude to those who extended their emotional support to our family during this time of bereavement. Angkong will always stay in our hearts.
