Update! Update! Update!
Hello world!
I want to apologize to myself for being too busy to update this blog. *sad face* One of my goals this 2014 (and I specifically wrote it on my goal board) is to be able to actively blog AT LEAST twice a month.. And here we are, so lucky if I could post a single one for a month.
And so I would update all of you (or myself when I look back and read this 5 years from now) about the things that happened the past few months.
Most of my goals in my 2014 goal boards has been achieved. I have 2 goal boards because when the year kicked in, I figured I have to set goals to motivate myself. I tagged Rob along to make his as well. We drew in specialty papers and used our kids' crayons to create our very own pictures of motivation. We were so proud of our artworks! But when my office required us to make and show our goal board to the team, I finally realized that my "artwork" is horrible! Haha! So with the help of technology, I collated all my "goals" and printed them. Voila! Neat and colorful goal board!
~ It was February when we we're assigned to our new projects and even if I was a bit scared to try on a new challenge, I gathered my courage and pushed myself to the limits. I was given the very first strong launch of the year for Alveo - Vertis North's High Park. And it was pretty much what's keeping me busy since our Sales Rally last March. I blogged about the success of High Park here , which garnered 2.7Billion during the two-day priority selling dates! We needed to days to cater to all those who wanted to invest and pick the best units. It was a tiring but very fulfilling two days, which stretches until today. Too much work but I am not complaining at all! I love my job! On this note, I finally ticked off the goal "to have a record breaking launch". High Park indeed broke the records!
~ Rob and I booked a flight late last year to Kalibo (going to Boracay) for the Holy Week this year because of an airline promo. At that time, we didn't have savings, plans, or anything to make that Boracay trip happen. All we knew is that the flight was cheap and we needed a getaway. By the grace of God, we were able to put things together and even better, we had our friends with us! I blogged about our First Day here . I know, Day 02 and Day 03 is still not up but please bear with me. It was fun and we really did have that much-needed break! Boracay with Rob and Friends, CHECK!
~ One of the most "unattainable" things in my goal board was to have my very own MACBOOK. I actually was in love during my college days with the Macbook Unibody, the one in white, cause it looks so clean and so elegant. But since unibody is already phased out, the next best thing for me is the Macbook Pro. When I was making my goal board, I kept thinking if I should put Macbook Pro in it cause I don't wanna feel bad by the end of the year because I wasn't able to achieve it. I kept asking myself "How can I have it when I've got bills to pay?" But God really is indeed a miracle worker. My Acer Laptop broke and after a week, my Macbook Pro came. How? I asked my cousin to buy me one when she goes back here from the States. But the work of God is really on how I paid for it. I was expecting "this" amount of money from when I hit the quota last year of my very first project. But when the final endorsement email came, I was surprised to see that I have hit not only one but two separate months of quota, which meant I was gonna receive twice the amount I was expecting. I was grateful that though it did not come easy, it did come. And God has placed good people around me to let it happen. Macbook Pro, CHECK!
~ We are able to consistently attend church services every Sunday (except on special days that I have to work). This meant for us, more reminders of what we ought to be, who Jesus really is and how He loves us and more compassion and love. We would like to raise our kids as God-fearing children. Hooray for Jesus and for His Love!
~ I finally shut down my Facebook page named "Joyce Ang- thejjoyce.blogspot.com" because (1) I don't have time to update it anymore and (2) having it makes me feel too narcissist. I don't want to be too proud of myself anymore. There's nothing to brag anyway.
~ Started being addicted to make up. I would put up another blog post all about the make up I have. Great! :)
~ Rob & I are actually having a blast building our lives. We have bought things for our house that makes it feel cozier. We try to make it a point to bond with our kids and make time for them everyday. We recently are addicted to watching movies every night, even if we watch the same animation films over and over again. Frozen, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Mr. Peabody, How to Train your Dragon and much more Disney and Pixar Films. Gosh! We even went and watch How to Train Your Dragon 2 in 2D ATMOS at Bonifacio High Street. It was so much fun! Lazy boy and great sound! I am still waiting for the chance to be able to grab a tix for the 4D. It is always full!
~ Rejoicing cause my best friend is going home in Manila on October for good! Yay! Cannot wait! We can have our chismzs more conveniently. Hoho!
~ I finally realized sincerely in my heart that Rob is indeed my best friend. Feels great to have this person whom I can share everything, whom I fully trust and I am shamelessly comfortable with. Next year is THE year. Hoho.
Peace and love everyone.
I am sleepy.
Zzzzzz.
