holy week 2011 at Mt. Banahaw

"You and I have been bought at a great price."

My holy week has been awesome. That's because I was able to visit and pray again in the mystical mountain of Mt. Banahaw in Dolores, Quezon. I've been visiting it since I was a kid and as a member of the Divine Endeavors Organization (DEO), I was privileged to be able to have access to it and in turn be in touch with nature and my faith more.  I brought Rob and Jieshua with me. It's their first time and I feel like a pro. lol. Anyway, we went there together with my cousins, Kuya Larky and Moti. The drive was surprisingly quick. Like more than 2 hours. The climb was even more surprising because I used to pant and be so tired while walking up the mountain but this time, it seemed near and quick. We got up the DEO village just 30 minutes from Kinabuhayan. We cleaned the "kahon", as we call the houses there, settled our stuffs and cooked. We were supposed to watch the first part of the Passion Play (made possoble by the other DEO members), which is the Last Supper, but we were late because of the cleaning of the kahon. We had kamatis (tomato) and itlog maalat (red egg?), noodles, canned tuna on a daily basis. :) Truly humbling! We went down to Kinabuhayan and up to Papaya Satellite one time. We went to Bakas. Rob, Moti and Jieshua took a dip and I took their picture. haha. :) We prayed the Rosary, all 15 mysteries in the vigil! I feel like I'm slowly being taken up into heaven.. lol. We watched the Passion Play, in which it showed the suffering of Jesus Christ in order to save us. I had to stop myself from crying. It was very moving. And I felt somehow guilty. :( After that, we shopped for things before leaving Dolores. Ate mami at San Pablo, Laguna on the way home and arrived home safely. :) Thank you, God for this wonderful experience. I love you.
